Yes, the Supreme Court just confirmed the original ruling, which sentenced former lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang to one and a half years in prison and three years of probation for embezzling donations to be used for victims of Japanese Military Sexual Slavery.

There is no mistake in misunderstanding the legal principles or omitting the judgment in the judgment of the court below.

Former lawmaker Yoon is accused of personally using the account funds of the Justice Memory Solidarity Corporation for more than 10 years from 2011 or of receiving subsidies from local governments by fraudulent means.

In February last year, the first trial recognized 17 million won, which has not been proven to be used, as embezzlement, and fined former lawmaker Yoon 15 million won.

However, in September of the same year, the appeals court recognized 80 million won as embezzlement for work and sentenced him to one and a half years in prison and three years of probation.

At that time, the court pointed out that he had committed embezzlement crimes by defying expectations, even though he knew better than anyone else that donations should be thoroughly managed and used for purpose.

Under the Public Official Election Act, elected officials will be invalidated if they are sentenced to imprisonment or higher.

With no final ruling until the end of his term, former lawmaker Yoon finished his term normally in May.
