In the first nine months of this year, the deficit in national households increased by nearly 21 trillion won from last year.
According to the 'Monthly Fiscal Trend November' published by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the managed fiscal balance, which shows the government's actual fiscal condition, recorded a deficit of 91.5 trillion won as of the end of September.
Compared to the same period last year, the deficit increased by 20.9 trillion won.
This is the third largest ever in September, following 2020 and 2022, close to this year's budget's "one-year forecast" of 91.6 trillion won.
