The People's Power demanded that the Democratic Party of Korea join the recommendation process, saying it is logical contradiction to oppose the special inspector.
Rep. Lee Chul-kyu pointed out in an MBC radio interview that if the ruling party recommends a special inspector and the Democratic Party does not participate, the criticism will only have to be endured by the Democratic Party.
Rep. Cho Jung-hoon also appeared on SBS radio and criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for being "addicted to the special prosecutor," saying it is contradictory that the opposition party wants a special prosecutor but opposes the special inspector.
Asked if discussions with the Democratic Party had begun, floor leader Choo Kyung-ho told reporters that he would talk to the floor leaders of both parties again at the latest early next week.
The People's Power held a general meeting of lawmakers yesterday (14th) and decided to proceed with the process of recommending the special inspector to the National Assembly.
