The baseball team, led by Ryu Joong-il, beat Australia 5-2 in the final group match of the tournament in Taipei, Taiwan.

Ko Young-pyo, who started, gave up only one hit until the second out of the fourth inning and tied the opponent's batting line without losing a point, and Kim Do-young swept four RBIs, including a two-run home run.
