The Ministry of Employment and Labor has formed a central and regional industrial accident management headquarters to respond to the accident in which three employees who were testing vehicles at Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant suffocated to death.

In this regard, Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo ordered today (19th) to investigate the accident quickly and thoroughly to determine the cause and responsibility of the accident.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Employment and Labor said that the Busan and Ulsan offices, which are the competent employment and labor offices, were dispatched to the site immediately after the accident to order the suspension of work, and are investigating the cause.

In addition, we plan to strictly investigate whether the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accident Punishment Act are violated, while also launching special supervision of the workplace and headquarters.

Earlier, at around 3:20 p.m. today (19th), three researchers who were testing vehicles at Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant 4 were found unconscious in the car and taken to a hospital, but they died.
