As Ukraine launched airstrikes on the Russian mainland with the U.S.-backed long-range missile ATACMS, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized it as a sign that the West wants increased tensions.Minister

Labrov held a press conference in Rio de Janeiro, the venue of the G20 summit, on the 19th local time, saying that the war has entered a new phase.Secretary

Labrov said the U.S. was helping Ukraine operate its missiles and claimed that the repeated use of Atax against Bryansk was proof that they wanted to escalate.

He also mentioned the nuclear doctrine, which Russia revised to allow nuclear weapons to be used on non-nuclear states supported by nuclear powers, and warned that he hoped the West would read it carefully.

Russia's revision of its nuclear doctrine is aimed at Ukraine, which is backed by Western nuclear powers such as the United States and Britain, and the Kremlin says a nuclear response could follow if Ukraine uses Western non-nuclear missiles.
