The People's Power criticized Chairman Woo Won-sik's announcement that he would launch a parliamentary investigation into the death of Chae Sang-byung within the regular session of the National Assembly, and criticized him for abandoning his duty to be neutral.
Floor spokesman Park Joon-tae said in a National Assembly briefing, "The push for the parliamentary investigation is actually interpreted as a decision-making that supports the political purpose of a specific party."
In particular, he pointed out that the public will not evaluate the issue as a pure willingness to find out the truth, given that such a move is coming out ahead of the second sentence of Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea.
At the same time, Chairman Woo said he should be afraid of what kind of speaker he will be recorded in the constitutional history, and urged him to abandon the Democratic Party membership card in his heart and return as the chairman of both the ruling and opposition parties.
