Confusion among test takers is also growing as the controversy over the alleged leakage of Yonsei University's essay test is escalating into a legal battle.

There are even concerns that students who applied to other universities could be affected if follow-up measures are delayed.

The court ruled in favor of the examinee for the second time in a row over Yonsei University's occasional natural essay test, which caused controversy over the leakage of the problem.

After accepting an injunction for suspension of validity to prevent the follow-up procedure of the essay exam, Yonsei University did not accept the objection.

The reason was that the fairness of the test was undermined, such as the possibility of some exposure to the problem and the appearance of no sanctions on the use of electronic devices.

[Kim Jeong-sun / Legal representative for Yonsei University litigants: More than 10,000 test takers who took the unfair test will suffer more damage than the expectations of about 260 prospective successful applicants.]

As Yonsei University appeals again and the legal battle continues, the deadline for the announcement of the first successful applicants in early admission is only about three weeks left on the 13th of next month.

Test takers who have seen this essay complain that they are confused ahead of a full-fledged college entrance battle.

[Lee Taemin / Yonsei University essay test candidate: When applying for regular admission, there are some solidarity, so I can use higher universities now. Because I'm not sure of this....]

The entrance examination industry is concerned that other students who did not apply for Yonsei University will be affected.

[Lee Man-ki / Director of Youwei Institute of Education and Evaluation: If a child attached to Yonsei University and Chung-Ang University doesn't know the line attached to the regiment, they register at Chung-Ang University. Then one person who will go to Chung-Ang University can't go in.]

Yonsei University said it would wait for a ruling on the case, saying that retesting or on-time carryover cannot be an alternative.

He also stressed that he will protect the rights and interests of all test takers and prevent damage in good faith.

[Kim Sun-tae / Yonsei University's legal representative: I didn't cheat and studied hard just for the essay test, but the irreparable damage to those test-takers....]

However, the Ministry of Education, which is in charge of the department, issued an order for the university to come up with a plan by the 26th of next month when the occasional admission process ends to prevent confusion.

He also stressed that carrying over the number of applicants for essay screening on time is difficult to be a reasonable alternative because the opportunity for applicants for essay screening has disappeared and irreparable damage has occurred to test takers.

[Lee Joo-ho / Minister of Education (the 19th, plenary session of the National Assembly Board of Education): We are well aware of the seriousness and we will do our best to solve this problem as soon as possible.]

A month has passed since even President Yoon Suk Yeol called for censure of those responsible and prevention of recurrence, but it is pointed out that the confusion was solely up to the examinees in the legal battle.
