The roadway "Hannuri," which runs between the five islands outside Deokjeokdo Island in Ongjin-gun and the Incheon Port Coast Passenger Terminal, has begun operations.
The Hannuri is a 487-ton vessel that can carry 388 passengers and 15 vehicles.
Ongjin-gun, Incheon, invested 7.6 billion won, including 3 billion won in national and municipal expenses, to build the Hannuri, and decided to build the Koryo Express Ferry as a consignment operator.
The Hannuri departs from Incheon Port's coastal passenger terminal at 9 a.m. every day and returns to the coastal passenger terminal at 4 p.m. via Mungapdo, Jido, Uldo, Baekado, Gulupdo, Mungapdo.
The Incheon Metropolitan Government expected that the service of Hannuri would facilitate the supply of fuel and daily necessities to islands outside Deokjeok Island, which do not have regular cargo ships, and relieve the inconvenience of ferry transfers for islanders and tourists.
