The Ministry of Employment and Labor will implement special supervision of industrial safety starting this week in connection with the researcher's suffocation accident at Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant.

The Ministry of Labor said it plans to check compliance with safety and health rules under the Occupational Safety and Health Act through special supervision of Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant.

Earlier on the 19th, three researchers suffocated and died in the vehicle test space of Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant electrification quality division.

The Ministry of Labor has been dispatched to the site and set up a probationary headquarters, and is investigating the cause of the accident, as well as violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accident Punishment Act.

Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant is a workplace subject to the Serious Accident Punishment Act with more than five full-time workers.
