Analysts say the Democratic Party of Korea, which regained its momentum with the acquittal of Lee Jae-myung in the first trial of perjury, pulled its sword back toward the prosecution.

It has also announced another impeachment hearing for prosecutors, and the budget review is also strongly pushing the government and the ruling party.

The National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee has decided to hold an impeachment hearing for two prosecutors on the 11th of next month.

Prosecutor Kang Vaccine is suspected of conducting an illegal search and seizure in last year's election interference public opinion manipulation case,
Prosecutor
Um Hee-jun was subject to impeachment in 2011 for urging false testimony in the trial of former Prime Minister Han Myung-sook's illegal political fund receiving case.

[Kim Seung-won / Opposition secretary of the National Assembly Judiciary Committee, Minjoo Party: The National Assembly should continue to investigate the prosecutors' illegal activities, and the behavior of prosecutors who are not investigated by anyone and punished.]]

Both of them are prosecutors who investigated allegations of development corruption in Daejang-dong involving CEO Lee Jae-myung.

This is why the ruling party is opposed to impeaching all the prosecutors it hates.

Next week, the impeachment of three prosecutors, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, will also be reported to the plenary session.

The opposition party has also not stopped its legislative offensive targeting the prosecution, ranging from the "crime of distorting the law" that punishes charges if they are distorted and applied to the "crime of innocent prosecutors" that punishes evidence manipulation.

The plenary session is about to pass the revision of the rules that exclude the ruling party from the right to recommend the permanent special prosecutor, which is also widely interpreted as "taking out the prosecution's power."

The opposition party is strongly pressuring the government and the ruling party over the budget bill.

It is pushing for a revision of the bill so that the opposition party can take the lead in the budget review, and warned that next year's budget may only reflect the reduction of the government's special activity expenses.

Of course, the ruling party strongly opposes the opposition's legislative dominance and power trip.

As the political situation is getting frozen, there are growing concerns that a proper budget review will be possible by the legal deadline on the 2nd of next month.
