Police jointly inspect Pohang Steelworks for two fires

In connection with the POSCO Pohang Steelworks 3 Finex plant, which caught fire twice in two weeks, the police have begun to investigate the cause in earnest.

Pohang Nambu Police Station in Gyeongsangbuk-do conducted a closed joint inspection of the fire site of POSCO Pohang Steelworks with the National Forensic Service yesterday (27th).

As the cause of the fire is believed to be damage to the factory melting furnace, police are said to have focused on the degree and reason of damage around the melting furnace.

In particular, as the fire broke out again three days after restarting after restoration work after the fire on the 10th, we will also check whether there was a problem with safety management.
