Kim Ye-ji and Park Soo-bin were selected as the BBC's "100 Women of the Year."

Kim Ye-ji, a member of the shooting national team who has become a world star in the wake of her participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics, and Park Soo-bin, head of the non-profit organization "Stairline Smash Club" to promote mobility for the disabled, were selected as the "100 Women of the Year" by the BBC.

The BBC released the list of "100 Women of the Year" on its website today (3rd), explaining the reason for the selection of Kim Ye-ji, saying, "I received worldwide attention this year for my achievements in charisma and sports."

In addition, he added, "Kim's video spread on social media, and not only technology, but also ice-cold attitudes, unbreakable concentration, and customized glasses inspired by science fiction have become the subject of praise."

CEO Park Soo-bin, who founded the Staircase Smash Club, a non-profit organization to promote the right to move the disabled, was also selected as the "100 Women of the Year."

The BBC introduced that Park, a wheelchair user, created a "Stairway Restoration Map" to help the mobile vulnerable reach their destination more easily.

The BBC's "100 Women of the Year" list also includes Afghan refugee taekwondo fighters Zakia Qudadadi, U.S. Senator Susan Collins and British Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, who became the first refugee athletes to win a medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics to give hope to refugees and people with disabilities around the world.
