Nexon's popular FPS game "Sudden Attack" has attracted attention once again. Nexon announced today (4th) that its advertising video "I'm Sorry Mom and Dad" of the "Reply Physically" campaign won the gold prize in the online video long film category at the 2024 Korean Advertising Awards.
The advertisement of "Sudden Attack" was highly praised for its pleasant delivery of a healthy chat culture beyond just promoting games. The video featuring popular comedians Kim Won-hoon and Kim Ah-young drew great attention right after its release with a message that they are competing with their game skills and a message of public interest to eradicate malicious chat. The video currently has about 1.7 million views on YouTube.
The Korea Advertising Awards is a representative event in the domestic advertising industry, where about 2,000 entries compete every year, and this award is the result of the recognition of advertisements that combine the original planning of "Sudden Attack" with social messages. Sun Seung-jin, head of Nexon's shooter headquarters, said, "I am happy that the advertisement that harmonizes game and public interest messages has achieved great results," adding, "We will continue to show the charm of 'Sudden Attack' with creative content."
This award is a series of achievements for Nexon. On November 27, the same advertisement was already highly praised at the 2024 YouTube Works Awards Korea, winning the "Best Branding" and "Best Social Acts" categories at the same time.
