Please explain the situation on the ground.

[Reporter]
In front of the main gate of the National Assembly, where I am, many citizens have gathered since President Yoon Suk Yeol declared an emergency martial law at 11 p.m. last night.

A large number of citizens gathered, with an unofficial estimate of 4,000 people.

Even this morning, more than 100 protesters remained and continued to protest against Yoon Suk Yeol's president.

However, from 7 a.m., police began moving protesters onto the road for traffic on the way to work.

Citizens protested strongly, saying that they were forced to disband.

As they sat down or lay down to resist, police were forced to pull them out or lift their limbs and move them onto the pavement.

The reporters also watched the situation, and after communicating with the vehicle first, the vehicle was entering, so they clashed with citizens who did not understand it, telling them to move on the sidewalk.

How are the citizens acting now?

[Reporter]
As you can see, citizens continue to make sporadic protests against police after moving to India,

Some citizens continue to speak out using broadcast equipment that President Yoon Suk Yeol should take responsibility for the martial law incident and step down.

In addition, some citizens are seen protesting, chanting slogans such as the resignation of Yoon Suk Yeol's president.

The police are preparing for a long line of personnel on both sides to prevent citizens who came up to the sidewalk from occupying the road again.

Even over time, buses carrying police officers arrive at the scene one after another, keeping the tension up.

In front of Gwanghwamun, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a press conference and said it would continue general strikes and protests until President Yoon steps down, which is expected to lead to large-scale rallies everywhere for the time being.
