President Yoon Suk Yeol announced the declaration of emergency martial law in an emergency public statement on the night of the 3rd and lifted it on the morning of the 4th, six hours later, and a martial law army mobilized in front of the National Assembly building was seen bending over to citizens and apologizing.

On the 4th, a YouTuber said in a video posted on his YouTube channel, "There was an unnamed martial law soldier who bowed down and said 'I'm sorry' to the citizens who came to the National Assembly to protest today."

The YouTuber said, "That martial law young man who looks so straight even at a glance. "I felt infinite pity and gratitude as all my anger disappeared from the clear eyes reflected over the glasses," he said.

"I felt your sincerity in that short moment when I said 'I'm sorry' by bowing to me once, twice, and three times," he added. "The sincerity that seems to say 'we are on the same side of democracy'."

Finally, YouTuber said, "I was a citizen and reporter who received your greetings," adding, "I will remember your words for the rest of my life for protecting the dawn of the Democratic Republic." Please return to our society as a healthy young man after serving in the military."

On this day, the National Assembly held a plenary session and passed a resolution calling for the lifting of the emergency martial law. Martial law forces began withdrawing through the May 6th gate of the National Assembly at 1:30 p.m., and there was no conflict as citizens cleared the way.
