Constitutional Society "President should apologize and take responsibility for anti-constitutional martial law"

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Korea said yesterday (3rd) that the emergency martial law declared late at night was anti-constitutional, urging President Yoon Suk Yeol to immediately apologize and take responsibility for the people.

In an emergency statement, the Constitutional Council made the remarks, calling for the resignation of all cabinet members and the punishment of those responsible for planning emergency martial law and participating in the action.

The Constitutional Association praised the National Assembly's swift decision to lift martial law, asking the ruling and opposition parties to normalize the National Assembly as soon as possible and come up with measures to deal with the situation.
