2024.12.04 PM 04:46
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a transportation inspection meeting with related agencies to prepare for the railway union's strike tomorrow and began preparing countermeasures.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Park Sang-woo held a meeting with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the National Police Agency, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Incheon City, Gyeonggi Province, and Korail to check the transportation measures for the railway strike this afternoon (4th).

Minister Park ordered that once the strike begins, alternative personnel should be intensively deployed to KTX and metropolitan trains with many passengers, but alternative transportation such as high-speed buses, taxis, and aircraft should be used as much as possible to make up for the train operation shortage that can still occur.

In addition, as congestion is expected to increase more than usual during commuting hours, he urged the government to make every effort to manage congestion in major base stations.
