The medical community strongly protested when the martial law decree was announced to punish the back of a medical doctor who did not return to the hospital.

Rather than finding a solution in the face of an already cold legislative conflict, it has become an oil.

The proclamation issued by the martial law command after Yoon Suk Yeol's president declared martial law also included medical measures.

This is aimed directly at the medical doctor who left the hospital in February in protest of the policy of increasing medical schools.

It stated that all medical personnel who are on strike, such as medical doctors, or who have left the medical field will return within 48 hours to work faithfully, and in case of violation, they will be punished according to martial law.

In the past, the medical community strongly opposed the unprecedented ultra-hard-line measures despite the legislative conflict.

The National Council of University Professors and the Emergency Committee of Medical Professors issued a joint statement criticizing the medical community as an anti-state force and saying, "Please step down immediately."

Five candidates who ran in the by-election for the president of the Korean Medical Association also criticized the martial law attempt in one voice, saying that it is an anti-democratic idea and that it has become a dead duck, not a lame duck.

In particular, the majors who are targeted for punishment cannot hide their shock and anger.

Park Dan, chairman of the emergency committee of the council, said he felt terrible about President Yoon's behavior and pointed out that he should step down from the dictatorship.

Analysts say that the addition of major unexpected bad news makes it much more difficult for doctors to return or resolve legislative conflicts early in the future.

[Kim Hyun-ah / Vice President of the National Council of Professors of Medical Colleges: Do these people really want to have the status of medical doctors, considering that the state can do what it wants and punish them if they don't listen to them? I don't think there's any reason to major.]

On top of that, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which is in charge of the ministry, is in trouble as it has been confirmed that Minister of Health and Welfare Cho Kyu-hong attended a Cabinet meeting discussing martial law.

Media inquiries were made about how the announcement was made and related to medical staff was included, but the Ministry of Health and Welfare did not provide any answers.
