There has been a series of criticism from frontline police officers on internal network bulletin boards over the police response to President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of emergency martial law.

A police officer from the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency criticized the government's internal network bulletin board at around 0 a.m. today (4th), saying that it could be good right away if it sided with the government that turned the people into enemies, but that the people would regard the police as an enemy in the near future.

The commander also insisted on protecting his colleagues and citizens, saying police should not be used as a protective shield for the regime.

In addition, he added to protect the people, recalling the late Ahn Byung-ha, the then head of the Jeonnam Police Agency, who refused to order the new military to suppress and fire protesters during the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising in 1980.

In addition, there were articles criticizing the police's response to restraining the entry of lawmakers after the declaration of martial law, such as that the people are not enemies of the police or that the National Assembly and the people's right to resist should be protected.
