A big rally in front of the National Assembly...Traffic control on Gwanghwamun Island

Many citizens are expected to gather in Yeouido, Seoul, where the National Assembly is located, today when the vote on the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol is underway.

A conservative group against impeachment reported the rally in front of Gwanghwamun, Seoul.

Do you think the assembly will be larger than the first impeachment vote?

Yes, the plenary session of the National Assembly will be convened at 4 p.m. to vote on President Yoon's impeachment, but the rally has been announced in front of the Capitol since the day.

The civic group Candlelight Action, which has continued the candlelight culture festival in front of the National Assembly on weekdays evening, will hold a preliminary rally from 1:30 p.m.

Organizations such as the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, affiliated freight unions, and media unions have also decided to hold individual rallies around Yeouido at a similar time.

University student situation conferences and women's and youth organizations, which gather students from more than 30 universities across the country, also plan to speak out nearby to call for the president's resignation.

The enthusiasm for the rally is expected to peak at 3 p.m., an hour before the impeachment vote.

Civic groups that hold sporadic rallies will also join the national candlelight vigil hosted by the "Immediate resignation of Yoon Suk Yeol and emergency action for social reform" in front of the main gate of the National Assembly at 3 o'clock.

The organizers reported to the police that hundreds of thousands of people could gather, including the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, civil society groups and ordinary citizens.Conservative groups opposing the impeachment of President Yoon

The "Korea's National Movement Headquarters" led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon and others reported that it will hold a rally of tens of thousands of people in front of the Donghwa Duty Free Shop in Gwanghwamun from 2 p.m.

Police said congestion around the assembly site is expected and asked people to use the subway if possible.

The city plans to cooperate with the police and fire department to manage safety and operate additional subways.

Temporary toilets will be set up in Yeouido and Gwanghwamun areas, and the opening of toilets in nearby private buildings will also be increased.
