The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will launch an investigation while it has been confirmed that washing water has been mixed in some of the daily milk sterilization products of Maeil Dairy.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to conduct an on-site survey on the 16th at a Maeil Dairy Plant that produced the milk product in question through the local government.
Considering the spread of consumer anxiety, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will collect and inspect not only the products in question but also all products produced at the plant. On the

Earlier, Maeil Dairy voluntarily recalled more than 10,000 of its original Maeil Milk sterilization products containing washing water during the manufacturing process.
The target product is the "Maeil Milk Original (sterile) 200ml" product manufactured at Maeil Dairy's Gwangju plant with a consumption period of February 16, 2025.

This incident was first known on the 12th when employees who received 200ml of original sterilized milk products for in-house meals at Hyundai Motor Research Institute reported abnormal odors and discoloration.
In the anonymous community blind of office workers, a picture of a daily milk product with orange liquid flowing out, along with a post that showed symptoms of vomiting and abdominal pain after drinking the product without knowing anything about the product.
Maeil Dairy posted an apology under the name of Vice Chairman Kim Sun-hee on its website on the 16th, saying, "It should never have happened even with a single pack of milk," adding, "We deeply reflect on the lack of production process management and quality inspection procedures."
