North Chungcheong Province's Negative Avian Influenza Quarantine Unit lifted

On the 7th of last month, Chungcheongbuk-do lifted all restrictions on movement within the quarantine zone, which was set at a radius of 10km around the farm, in connection with the highly pathogenic avian influenza that occurred at the farm in Eumseong-gun.

Twenty-eight days have passed since the completion of procedures such as cleaning and disinfection of farms with avian influenza outbreaks, and detailed examinations of poultry and the environment on farms in the quarantine unit have all been confirmed negative.

However, the avian influenza virus was detected in wild bird feces collected from the Miho River in Jincheon-gun and Yodocheon in Chungju on the 3rd, and a wild algae forecast area was set up within a 10-kilometer radius of the point.
