The Constitutional Court has announced its position, with Jeong Hyung-sik, who was directly appointed by President Yoon as the chief judge in the impeachment case of President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Moon Hyung-bae, acting head of the Constitutional Court, said he has already decided on the chief judge of the case through random electronic dividends, excluding the judge who is the chief judge of the four impeachment cases.
He then explained that it was in accordance with the bylaws that the referee was closed, and that there was no basis for acknowledging the exception in this case.
He also stressed that the preparation date for the hearing will be accompanied by two life-long judges, and that the hearing date will be conducted by the review of all judges under the presiding judge, and that who the chief judge is does not affect the speed or direction of the trial.
