Since ancient times, Jeonju in Jeollabuk-do has been famous as a place where you can feel the beauty of Korea.
It is said that the only library trip in Korea, which started in Jeonju since March, has received good responses from visitors.
There is a YTN issue reporter on the scene. Reporter Lee Minjae!
A library trip took place there?
[Reporter]
Yes, it is.
I came out to the Hanok Village library now.
I also went around Hanok Village before the broadcast, and I was able to meet this place like a gift.
As you can see, it's made of hanok, so citizens are visiting one by one.
Jeonju, which aims to be a city of books, has many unique and diverse libraries.
The program to promote the space of these various specialized libraries and promote the value of precious libraries ended last November.
The name of this trip is Jeonju Library Travel.
This program went through a trial operation in 2021 and began full-scale operation in 2022.
The operation of a new travel course every year has attracted a lot of popularity, with 5,200 participants so far.
In this year's Jeonju Library tour course, you could enjoy various cultural facilities including libraries.
Local governments and education offices across the country are also interested in traveling to Jeonju libraries.
Next year, Wansan Library and Ajung Lake Library will also be included in the course, so you can go on more book trips.
Why don't you go on a fruitful outing with a book next year?
So far, I am YTN Lee Minjae in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.
