The high-ranking government official's criminal investigation office has announced that it will take action in accordance with procedures for the refusal of President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is suspected of rebellion, to receive a request for attendance.

Oh Dong-woon, the head of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, told the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee today that he had issued a summons notice and would then take due process in connection with the refusal to receive it.

He also stressed that he is closely watching the situation as there is a case of refusing to receive legal attendance summons.

The Joint Investigation Headquarters, organized by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police, mailed a request for attendance to President Yoon Suk Yeol yesterday (16th), but it was returned as a "refusal to take it" at the official residence and was not delivered to the president's office under the name of the recipient.
