At a Cabinet meeting held just before the declaration of the emergency martial law on the 3rd, a note received by Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok said to secure a reserve fund for martial law.
Yoon In-dae, vice minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, said in an emergency questioning session of the National Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee, "I remember the fact that I secured reserve funds related to the martial law," regarding the note received by the deputy prime minister from a working-level official in the presidential office on the night of the 3rd.
In response, Rep. Hwang Myung-sun of the Democratic Party pointed out that President Yoon might have declared emergency martial law and asked him to support martial law troops as a reserve fund.
Assistant Secretary Yoon replied that it would be explained quickly because the original was preserved in the investigative agency.
Deputy Prime Minister Choi said he had no intention of opening a note because there was no economic situation at the time, he opposed martial law, and he was only interested in market management, and that he held an emergency meeting on macroeconomic and financial issues after handing it over to Vice Minister Yoon.
