While apartment prices across the country have fallen for five consecutive weeks, the number of districts in Seoul, which has been on a decline compared to the previous week, has increased to seven.
Apartment prices across the country fell 0.03% in the third week of December, the same as the previous week, marking the fifth consecutive week of declines by the Korea Real Estate Agency today.
Apartment prices in Seoul continued to rise for the 39th consecutive week, but the increase fell further to 0.01% this week from 0.02% last week, while seven of the 25 districts, including Dongdaemun, Eunpyeong, Guro and Geumcheon, declined.
Sales of apartments in the Seoul metropolitan area remained flat for the second week in a row, while the province remained down 0.05%.
Apartment lease prices nationwide stopped rising for 45 weeks and turned flat for the first time in 46 weeks.
Rental prices for apartments in Seoul also stopped rising for 82 consecutive weeks and turned flat for the first time in 83 weeks, with the Seoul metropolitan area up 0.01 percent and other provinces flat.
