The Prime Minister's Office has said it is questionable whether the exercise of the acting president's veto is a reason for impeachment.
A high-ranking official of the Prime Minister's Office told reporters today (19th) that there is no scope of the acting president's authority, adding, "I am not sure under which constitution and law it is judged that the exercise of the right to demand reconsideration will be the reason for impeachment."
When asked if acting Han Deok-soo had recently told his staff that he was not afraid of impeachment, he replied that it was not appropriate to mention it here.
Asked if he thought it was possible to appoint three constitutional judges, who are currently vacant, the official also said there were various legal opinions and that he was pondering political reasons and logic.
