The Ministry of Education responded to the medical community's claim to reduce the number of students who have not been admitted to medical school on time without carrying over the number of students on time.
Koo Yeon-hee, a spokesman for the Ministry of Education, said at a regular briefing today, "I understand that the 2025 recruitment guidelines specify the carryover of the number of employees who have not been filled on time."
Earlier, the Ministry of Education responded in a review submitted to the National Assembly's Education Committee that all medical schools are obligated to operate the screening in compliance with the recruitment guidelines.
At the same time, spokesman Koo explained that related agencies are consulting on emergency committee chairman Park Hyung-wook's remarks that the Ministry of Education and the Korean Medical Association's emergency committee will meet.
