Cho Han-chang, a candidate for the Constitutional Court, said he does not agree with the "suspected election fraud," which President Yoon Suk Yeol mentioned as one of the reasons for emergency martial law.

Cho, who was recommended by the People's Power, said at a parliamentary confirmation hearing that he did not agree with the allegations of fraudulent elections and that several cases proved to be unfounded.

He then stressed that several lawsuits were filed in the Supreme Court, but not all were recognized, and that he thinks the Election Commission is doing its best to prevent fraudulent elections.

He also mentioned that if the National Assembly followed due process by electing constitutional judges by a majority vote, he thought it would be consistent with the Constitution and law to appoint them by the president or acting president.Asked if more than 150 seats in favor would be sufficient to impeach acting President Han Duck-soo for his wrongdoings as prime minister, candidate
said he appears to meet the constitutional requirements for impeachment.

Cho Han-chang's confirmation hearing was held exclusively by the opposition party, with lawmakers from the People's Power absent, as was the hearing for political candidates and Ma Eun-hyuk on the 23rd.

The people's power is that acting Han should stop the process of recommending the National Assembly because he does not have the authority to appoint a constitutional judge.
