Trade Minister Jeong In-kyo of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said exports are playing a role in supporting the Korean economy even in difficult internal and external conditions.
At the "12th Meeting of Export Regional Officers," Chung said, "It is expected that exports will continue to rise for 15 consecutive months and surplus for 19 consecutive months in December."
He then said he would continue his efforts to support the economy and businesses by minimizing negative impacts and making the most of new opportunity factors as the public and private sectors communicate closely, although internal and external uncertainties have increased.
