Acting President Choi Sang-mok said he will respond firmly to North Korea's first missile provocation in the new year based on a strong South Korea-U.S. alliance.

Acting President Choi Sang-mok said at a Cabinet meeting at the Seoul Government Complex today (7th), "North Korea's missile launch is a clear violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions and a serious threat to the Korean Peninsula and global security."

At the same time, he asked the Ministry of National Defense to renew the organizational atmosphere with the military and establish an ironclad security posture in preparation for further provocations.

At the same time, Acting President Choi Sang-mok said that this year's business report will be operated as a meeting to resolve major pending issues, and that it should be a completely different "all-out war to respond to the crisis" in terms of urgency, solution, and speed of implementation than usual.

In addition, there is growing concern that the people's livelihood economy will freeze further in line with the recent political situation, adding that all ministries should immediately start implementing the budget for projects necessary to restore the people's livelihood.
