Samsung Electronics has said it has a good chance of winning the robot business.

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee said at a press conference in Las Vegas, where CES 2025 is being held, that Samsung Electronics is also working hard on the robot business.

Vice Chairman Han explained that Samsung Electronics is not very fast in the robot field, but it is trying to secure technology through investment and is proceeding step by step as planned.

Earlier, Samsung Electronics recently secured the largest shareholder status of Rainbow Robotics, a domestic robot company, and established a future robot promotion team directly under Vice Chairman Han.

Vice Chairman Han also said that what companies want is to make non-fungible products, and that Chairman Lee Jae-yong raised the topic of "technology that does not exist in the world," and that he thinks such products will probably come out between the second half of this year and next year.

He also stressed that although many challenges are expected this year, we will secure talent and technology for future preparations and investments for new growth quickly and boldly to secure a super gap in our flagship business.

Regarding the preliminary performance of the fourth quarter announced on the same day, he said that although it was lower than what the market expected, it was an opportunity to take a step forward, and that he could look forward to it this year.
