The court has again rejected the arrest warrant for Jeon Sung-bae, a shaman who is suspected of violating the Political Fund Act.
Attention has been paid to whether the prosecution will be able to expand its investigation into suspicions related to Jeon's political circles, but it seems inevitable that the prosecution will fail to secure new recruits one after another.

After three weeks, Justice Jeon Sung-bae appeared in court again to be questioned by the suspect before arrest.
As in the first screening, we did not answer questions from reporters.
[Jeon Seong-bae / Master Geon-jin: (An arrest warrant has been requested again, please say something)]." "(Are you sure it's 150 million won?) ...." "(How are President Lee Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Gun-hee related?) ....]
Jeon is accused of taking 150 million won in bribes from a preliminary candidate in exchange for the nomination of the Liberty Korea Party for mayor of Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, during the 2018 local elections.
At the time of the earlier request for an arrest warrant, the court rejected the warrant, saying the amount was not clear, but prosecutors said they supplemented the reasons for the dismissal, such as specifying the size of illegal political funds through reinforcement investigations.
However, the court rejected the prosecution's claim and rejected the warrant again.
The court said there was room for legal contention over whether a non-politician could be the sole offender for violating the Political Fund Act if he or she received political funds just for delivering them to another politician.
He also said that even considering Jeon's various activities revealed during the investigation, it is difficult at this stage to acknowledge the necessity or significance of arresting the suspect.
As Jeon is also suspected of intervening in various interests by citing his relationship with Yoon Suk Yeol's president and his wife, attention has been paid to whether the investigation will expand to the political circle if the prosecution secures Jeon's whereabouts.
However, as arrest warrants were rejected one after another, the prosecution's investigation, which began with an emergency arrest last month, seems inevitable.
