Members of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee criticized Cho Kuk Innovation Party's Kim Joon-hyung's disclosure of the "3rd class secret" official document on the bid to host the "2030 Busan Expo" during a parliamentary audit, calling it a criminal act of waving the national flag.

Rep. Kim Gun of the People's Power, secretary of the ruling party's foreign affairs committee, held a press conference and said, "According to the Presidential Security Service Regulations, class 3 secrets are secrets that could harm national security if leaked."

Rep. Kim, who disclosed the data, then pointed out that the original protection period is over and it is for the public good, but it could be an act of self-harming security that exposes the government's diplomatic cryptographic system and other information security networks.

He also said he urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to quickly determine the authenticity of the document and closely investigate the circumstances and take all possible measures.
