Suspicions of preferential treatment for former posts were raised in the process of selecting a service company that manages "purchased rental housing" by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation and LH.
According to the status of orders for purchased rental housing management services from 2021 to 2024 obtained by the office of Rep. Lee Chun-seok of the Democratic Party of Korea, 27 companies A and 15 companies B signed contracts out of 54 areas nationwide.
The contract amount of the two companies amounts to 100 billion won, more than 80% of the total, and it has been confirmed that four and eight LH retirees, including first-class graduates, are employed in these companies.
In addition, it was confirmed that these companies were judged to be "single-qualified" in the evaluation of the proposal at the time of bidding, and there were also suspicions that some evaluators influenced the ranking by widening the score gap between the first and second-place companies.
