During his state visit to Singapore, President Yoon Suk Yeol held a South Korea-Singapore summit and decided to establish a strategic partnership to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year.

The two countries also signed agreements to strengthen supply chain cooperation in high-tech industries such as bio and energy.

President Yoon Suk Yeol began his state visit to Singapore with an official welcoming ceremony attended by President Tarman.

Following his meeting with President Tarman, he held his first summit with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, who took office in May.President

Yoon said Singapore is a partner and future key partner for the past half century, and that we should further develop cooperation between the two countries.

In response, the two leaders agreed to establish a "strategic partnership" to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year and decided to strengthen strategic cooperation.

Beyond trade and investment with Singapore, a hub for global finance, logistics, and transportation, it has decided to expand its cooperation base to future fields such as AI, digital, and high-tech industries.

The two countries have specified ways to strengthen strategic supply chain cooperation in high-tech industries, especially in preparation for international economic uncertainties such as the Russia-Ukra war.

It has promised to expand its scope to bio and advanced manufacturing, including existing energy and minerals, to jointly respond through emergency contact networks in the event of a supply chain crisis.

At the same time, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment not to tolerate North Korea's illegal nuclear development and reckless provocations and agreed to cooperate to send a clear message to North Korea.

After the summit, President Yoon Suk Yeol visited Hyundai Motor's Global Innovation Center, where automobiles are produced autonomously through AI and robots.

At the meeting, he announced that he would actively support the productivity of the Korean manufacturing industry to improve due to the spread of AI.

On the second day of his state visit to Singapore, Yoon will first explain to foreign audiences the meaning of international solidarity of the 8.15 Unification Doctrine in a lecture program with global authority, "Singapore Lecture."
