North Korea has declared that it will completely cut off roads and railways connected to the South and fortify defensive structures to permanently block them.

It also disclosed that it sent a notice to the U.S. military to prevent misunderstandings and accidental clashes, calling it a practical military measure to thoroughly separate the territory of their sovereignty from the territory of the Republic of Korea.

North Korea claimed the move was self-defense to deter war and protect safety, saying it was due to South Korea-U.S. military exercises and the deployment of U.S. strategic assets.

At the same time, the forward area was referred to as the southern border, which is believed to have supported Chairman Kim Jong-un's theory of "two hostile countries."
