met with Prime Minister Ishiba on the occasion of his attendance at the ASEAN Summit in Laos and started the Korea-Japan summit a little while ago.
The summit took place nine days after Prime Minister Ishiba took office on the 1st.
The leaders of the two countries are expected to look back on the path of Korea-Japan relations over the past two years and discuss how to establish Korea-Japan relations next year to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
