While the parliamentary audit has been underway for four days today (11th), the battle between the ruling and opposition parties is getting fiercer.

The ruling party protested that the opposition party was exaggerating the impeachment bill for "Lee Jae-myung Bangtan," and the opposition party even summoned the case of former President Park Geun Hye's impeachment, expressing Kim Gun-hee as a non-presidential heavyweight.

There is a fierce battle at the parliamentary audit today, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, first of all, the Legislation and Judiciary Committee conducted a parliamentary audit of the Constitutional Court today.

As the impeachment trial proceeds at the Constitutional Court, the ruling party took issue with the opposition's overuse of the prosecutor's impeachment, and in the end, it took issue with its legitimacy, saying it was to pressure the prosecutor who investigated representative Lee Jae-myung.

On the other hand, the opposition party described First Lady Kim Gun-hee as a non-presidential power and asked if allegations of intervention in nominations and the receipt of luxury bags could be grounds for impeachment of the president.

The National Public Administration and Security Committee's parliamentary audit of the National Police Agency also led to a slugfest.

Lawmakers in the ruling party set up a day ahead of the prosecution's investigation into the drunk driving accident of former President Moon Jae In's daughter Da-hye.

At the same time, he raised the level of the offensive, saying he would wait and see if the police would produce reasonable results.

In response, the opposition party urged restraint, saying it was not Da-hye's confirmation hearing.

Referring to Mrs. Kim's visit to Mapo Bridge, he counter-attacked that it was like the ruler's on-site inspection.

We will also look at the by-elections in five days. Early voting started today, right?

[Reporter]
Early voting began at 6 a.m. today (11th) to select the Seoul Superintendent of Education, the head of Busan Geumjeong-gu Office, the head of Ganghwa County in Incheon, and Yeonggwang and Gokseong counties in Jeollanam-do.

According to the early voting rate for local government heads alone, as of 3:30 p.m., Seoul was 2.14%; Busan was 6.53%; Incheon was 11.15%; and Jeonnam was 19.09%.

The People's Power is aiming to win in Ganghwa, Incheon, and Geumjeong, Busan, which are strong areas.

In the case of Geumjeong, Busan, the unification of opposition candidates is considered the biggest variable, and in Ganghwa, Incheon, independent candidates are considered the biggest variables.

The Democratic Party of Korea, which seeks to reverse the situation, will continue its campaign in Busan today, and Lee Jae-myung will visit Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do.

Yeonggwang and Gokseong in Jeollanam-do are the traditional support base of the Democratic Party, but in the case of Yeonggwang, it is interpreted as a move that takes into account the rapid rise of candidates from the Progressive Party.
