Kang Hye-kyung, who raised suspicions about Kim Gun-hee's involvement in the nomination, was adopted as a witness to the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee's parliamentary audit of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.

Ahead of the vote on the adoption of witnesses, Yoo Sang-beom, a member of the People's Power, the ruling party secretary of the Judiciary Committee, protested that the ruling party does not adopt a single witness, but only the Democratic Party of Korea unilaterally adopts it.

On the other hand, Kim Seung-won of the Democratic Party, the secretary of the opposition party, refuted the urgency of finding the real truth through cross-examination by presenting Myung Tae-kyun and Kim Young-sun, former members of the People's Power.

Earlier, Kang, an aide to former lawmaker Kim and a former accountant, claimed that former lawmaker Kim won the nomination for the by-elections in return for the poll provided by Myung Tae-kyun to the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.
