"The Korea-U.S.-Japan Summit within this year" Biden sends message to President Yoon

U.S. President Joe Biden has proposed to Yoon Suk Yeol that the South Korea-U.S.-Japan summit be held within this year, the president's office said.

The presidential office said that on the evening of the 10th, when President Yoon visited Laos, he had a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken on the occasion of a dinner hosted by the prime minister of Laos.

Along with President Biden's well-being, Blinken delivered a message to hold a Korea-U.S.-Japan summit within this year, following the spirit of Camp David.President

Yoon responded by saying that he will continue to communicate closely in the future, and that he expects to have a chance to meet him within this year.

A senior official at the presidential office explained that he understood the purpose of solidifying the Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation system regardless of the new Japanese prime minister's inauguration and the variables of the U.S. presidential election.
