Rep. Park Soo-young, the ruling party secretary of the National Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee, proposed a revision to the Performance Act and the National Sports Promotion Act to block the source of ticket sales.

Under the current law, the criteria for illegal sales of tickets and admission tickets are supposed to be overpaid for "the price they purchased," which was unified to "a higher price than the regular price" to reduce confusion in the ticket control process.

With another input, we defined all scalping acts as fraudulent sales, regardless of the use of macro programs that repeat certain tasks.

In addition, it included strengthening the sentence related to ticket trading from imprisonment for less than a year or a fine of less than 10 million won to imprisonment for less than three years or a fine of less than 30 million won.

Lawmaker Park explained the purpose of the bill's proposal, saying, "The method of preoccupying seats using macros and then reselling them to second-hand trading platforms is increasingly specialized and organized," adding, "We will take the lead in blocking the source of tickets by supplementing the legal deficiencies of fraudulent ticket sales."
