In response to allegations that the normalization of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) base was intentionally delayed during the Moon Jae In government, Choi said the audit was over and that it was being processed internally.

Choi answered Cho Bae-sook, a member of the People's Power, at the National Assembly Judiciary Committee's parliamentary audit today (15th).

When asked when the audit results will be announced, he added that he would speed up as much as possible.

In addition, the Ministry of National Defense reported that THAAD radar electromagnetic waves were harmless during the Moon Jae In administration, but it was not informed to the public and did not conduct an environmental impact assessment at all, saying, "I understand that such information is included in the audit."

In late October last year, the Board of Audit and Inspection launched an audit of 11 organizations, including the Moon Jae In government's National Security Office, the Presidential Secretariat, and the Ministry of National Defense, for obstructing the normal operation of the THAAD base and requesting a public audit related to delays.
