The National Assembly Steering Committee alone adopted Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the suspicion of intervening in the nomination of Kim Gun-hee, as a witness for the parliamentary audit.

The opposition party has also begun a full-fledged process to revise the rules that exclude the right to recommend the ruling party in the permanent special prosecution, but the ruling party protested, saying it changed its words when the opposition party became the majority party.

A total of 33 people were adopted as witnesses and reference for the parliamentary audit of the presidential office next month, including Kim Gun-hee, Kim's brother, Myung Tae-kyun, and former lawmakers Kim Young-sun.

The opposition party emphasized that it would ask the allegations of meddling in Kim's nomination, accepting luxury bags, and involvement in Deutsche Motors' stock price manipulation.

As the ruling party strongly protested the unilateral proceedings, there were loud shouting and war of words, and the ruling party lawmakers finally left the conference hall and missed the vote.

This is because witnesses and references demanded by the ruling party, including Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung, former President Moon Jae In, and daughter Da-hye, were excluded from the list.

The opposition party also proposed an amendment to the National Assembly's rules that exclude the right to recommend the ruling party when forming a standing special prosecutor candidate recommendation committee for cases where the president or relatives are subject to investigation.

As a permanent special prosecutor to investigate three suspicions related to Kim, including the alleged manipulation of the stock price of Sambu Construction, the opposition party has begun a full-fledged process to establish the personnel it wants.
