North Korea fired an unknown ballistic missile into the East Sea today, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
The military is analyzing detailed specifications such as missile models and flight distances.
It is the first time in 43 days that North Korea has provoked a ballistic missile since the 18th of last month.
At the time, North Korea claimed that it had successfully test-fired additional Hwasong-11Da-4.5 missiles, a new tactical ballistic missile with a warhead of 4.5 tons.
Earlier, the defense ministers of South Korea and the U.S. held a South Korea-U.S. security council meeting in Washington on the 30th local time and announced that they strongly condemned North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia, and North Korea seems to have launched a missile provocation shortly after that.
