The Ministry of National Defense said it will introduce about 10 new menus for school meals next month with Dubon Korea, a restaurant company that is promoting military restaurant consulting in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense.
The Ministry of National Defense said that it will apply the menu to 3-4 battalion-level units next year and expand them to all units by analyzing soldiers' satisfaction.
Earlier today, the Ministry of National Defense and Dubon Korea held an event to provide special meals and coffee cars for the 758th Battalion of the Army's 7th Artillery Brigade, a consulting demonstration unit.
Vice Defense Minister Kim Sun-ho and Jongwon Baek CEO of Dubon Korea encouraged soldiers and shared their opinions on innovating a new generation of customized military meals.
The innovation of military meals is done by increasing the utilization of cooking utensils suitable for military meals and developing simple recipes, and the Ministry of National Defense added that Durbon Korea has had professional personnel stationed in the unit for three months since April to check the operation status of military restaurants.
