The Ministry of National Defense said Vice Minister Kim Sun-ho held a meeting with Japan's Defense Minister Koichiro Nakajima at the Yongsan building in Seoul today to discuss ways to develop bilateral defense exchanges and cooperation.
At the meeting, the two sides strongly condemned all-round military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, including the dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia, and agreed to work closely with the international community to block military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
They then agreed that security cooperation between Korea, Japan, South Korea, and Japan is more important than ever at a time when North Korea's nuclear and missile threats are advancing, and agreed to strengthen cooperation for the complete denuclearization of North Korea.
In addition, the Ministry of National Defense added that it decided to discover and actively promote more diverse exchange and cooperation issues to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan next year.
