President Yoon and Xi Jinping "Accelerate Korea-China FTA Service Investment Negotiations"

President Yoon Suk Yeol and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to accelerate follow-up negotiations on the Korea-China free trade agreement.President

Yoon and President Xi held a bilateral meeting in Peru, where the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit was held, and gathered opinions, said Kim Tae-hyo, the first deputy director of the National Security Office.

Deputy Director Kim held a briefing there and said President Yoon asked for a good look at Korean companies that have entered China so that they can operate in a predictable and stable environment.

President Xi also agreed that Korea-China FTA service investment negotiations will be accelerated to produce results early, and President Yoon also hoped to see positive progress.

Kim said, "As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Korea-China FTA next year, we have agreed to work together on the task of negotiating the Korea-China FTA service investment," adding, "We will promote the development of Korea and China through a high level of openness to the outside world."

He emphasized that Korea-China economic cooperation should be made together to benefit both countries and the people of both countries.
